My Dear People,

I would like to salute the Zimbabwe National team, also known as the Warriors.

Not for the football they displayed in Egypt, although that was equally commendable.

Whatever the truth is, there is no smoke without fire.

Reports that the Warriors threatened not to fulfil their opening match against hosts Egypt on Friday at the ongoing Afcon finals should be commended.

Already, somebody high up in the corridors had y to make a plan with the Warriors money.

A scam was already being worked out in which the Warriors would be paid after the tournament.

Looks like one of those con artists in the national game wanted to convert the US dollars on the illegal, but now formal black market and deposit worthless RTGS into their bank accounts.

That is what happens when snake oil salesmen and conmen are incorporated into the game of football.

Officials at Zifa seem to have forgotten that footballers are workers when they are on the field.

When they march into football stadia, they are not just entertainers, but workers trying to put bread on the table.

This is the last time that the Warriors should be treated like scum when they are one of the few institutions that still bring joy and unity among Zimbabweans.

On the home front, the Warriors demonstrated that Zimbabweans should not take any nonsense that government, corporate, retail sector or anybody throws at them.

Right now Zimbabwe could be the most dysfunctional country that is not in a war.

We may even be worse than Somalia or Libya.

We get arbitrary midnight fuel price increases announced by a president before he flees to the safety of a foreign visit.

We get prices sky rocketing and the government looks on because many senior government officials are players in the retail, fuel and mining sectors.

Municipalities dump untreated effluent into rivers, there is no paper for passports, no medicine in hospital and ruling elite appears to be unable to deal with all those failures.

The worst scandal is that we are supposed to be improving our industrial development and the country is plunged into more than 10 hours of power cuts.

If there are efforts to engage in solar power development, tenders or contracts are awarded to cronies who instead spend  the money given to them on buying shoes instead of developing solar energy.

At this rate, the clueless government and their state enterprises have conspired to ensure Zimbabweans are unable to follow the ongoing Afcon finals  real time because of the crazy power cuts.

And the list is endless.

It was good to see Dhakisi Lacoste doing his best to dispel swirling rumours that there were issues surrounding his right arm.

Issues such as having suffered a stroke or from an arthritic or gout attack.

Using the platform of Dead BC, which nobody watches, Lacoste must have been told by his handlers to actively gesture with his right  arm, which had been alleged to be now ‘dead’ following some form of attack.

It is good that he continues to wear copper bangles.

For years, anybody with arthritis related concerns would wear copper bangles.

Lacoste is wearing too many copper bangles. Too many.

It looks like some people are not happy with Nero’s choice for one of his senior positions.

What exactly is causing some people to be angry with the appointment of Ms Fadzi?

What is wrong with having a strong gender sensitive policy?

Of course, we realise that not everybody is in support of his bright ideas.Watch this space.
