Rhumba musician Itai “Madiz” Madzikura (pictured) mesmerised a sizable crowd of revellers at Mzansi Bar in Mvurwi, Mashonaland Central province, on Friday.

Madiz was being supported by Tarry Mbofana and a huge presence of police was at the bar.

Mzansi Bar owner Prince Chipenda made sure that the crowd did not surpass 100 people in line with President Emmerson Mnangagwa’s decree of banning gatherings of more than 100 people.

“We do not want to defy the President’s order, hence our number will not pass 100 on all the shows that we conduct here at Mzansi Bar,” Chipenda said.

“Since we cannot totally shut down the business, we try to get at least some few dollars to survive. l am happy for Madiz and Terry Mbofana who have honoured my invitation and Mvurwi people have enjoyed their show.”

On stage, the duo, who started at 7pm, played for long hours keeping their fans on their toes for the better part of the night.

Both sampled songs from their forthcoming projects.
