MANICA Diamonds chairman Masimba Chihowa says his club is ready to sell midfielder Last Jesi, who is on loan at FC Platinum, amid growing interest from Sudanese side Al Hilal and a number of local clubs.

Al Hilal have not hidden their admiration for the dreadlocked midfielder after he impressed during their 1-0 win over FC Platinum in a CAF Champions League encounter played at Barbourfields Stadium.

Jesi captivated the Hilal travelling party with his vision and accuracy on his debut for FC Platinum.

Chimhowa revealed that in addition to Al Hilal, they are also listening to several clubs, who are vying for the player’s services.

“He is a wanted player and we are ready to give him an opportunity to join the club of his choice. “It’s always good for his preferences to determine his final destination,” Chimhowa said.

“Al Hilal are interested, but there are other clubs, who have contacted me with the same intention.

“It is going to be down to him to decide, but we are going to make sure that we help him get a club that helps him grow depending on the offers we will see when his loan spell at FC Platinum ends.”

Though Chihowa did not reveal the names of the clubs that have made inquiries about Jesi, Standardsport understands that Chicken Inn are also keen to sign him. An unnamed club in South Africa’s National First Division has also made inquiries about the player.

Jesi joined FC Platinum together with Stanley Ngala and is expected to form part of the team’s backbone when the season begins.

His stay at FC Platinum could be shortlived if a move to Al Hilal materialises.
