BULAWAYO Chiefs continue to be the country’s Premier Soccer League trendsetter as they will today unveil their own brand of kits.

The unveiling ceremony will be done virtually due to the COVID-19 regulations.

The club will unveil “Amakhosi Wear”, a clothing brand that is expected to grow to manufacture clothing and footwear in the future.

Bulawayo Chiefs spokesperson Thulani “Javas” Sibanda said he was excited at the new development.

“We have created our own brand of sportswear clothing. Our brand is Amakhosi Wear. We are set to release a variety of kits and apparel for our 2021 season which include our home, away, third kits as well as training and travel wear,” Sibanda said.

“Amakhosi Wear is a registered clothing brand that will over time release several lines of clothing and footwear. The kits that have been churned out for Bulawayo Chiefs are the first in a line of outdoor sportswear which features match kits, casual wear T-Shirts, tracksuits, windbreakers, sweaters, sports socks, backpacks, boot bags, and a number of sports accessories. We are going to release a line of formal wear that will include office shirts, trousers, suits, chinos, ties which will bear the unique cut of Amakhosi Wear,” Sibanda said.

“The brand will speak the language of royalty, the chieftainship and bourgeoisie style that is built to accommodate everyone, hence the tag line BUILT FOR EVERYONE. Our outfits will be affordable to everyone at the same time maintaining high quality and standard.

“The birth of Amakhosi came out of a realisation that we can tap into available resources and create our own brand. It has been in the vision of the team to always think outside the box and be able to create things for ourselves, hence, from the question: Why cant we create our own? Amakhosi Wear was born.”

Sibanda said The Ninjas would be the first to don the Amakhosi Wear branded kit, but the franchise would reach out to other professional clubs, schools, social clubs, and everyone interested in the brand.
