BULAWAYO Chiefs coach Thulani Sibanda has said that Bulawayo City, whom his team faces in their next game of the Chibuku Super Cup, are a stronger team than Highlanders to whom they lost to 1-0 last weekend.

Sibanda’s team will clash with the topflight returnees today as both teams seek to collect their first points after defeats in the first matches.

He expects a tougher match today as they face Philani Ncube’s City.

“Following the inactivity in the game, what I noted from my boys last Saturday is that they were making silly mistakes. If we had played some (friendly) games it would have been rectified by now. Tomorrow (today)’s game will be tougher than the game against Highlanders. I believe Bulawayo City are stronger than Highlanders. But as for me, it is difficult to talk about or predict anything about the game. Anything is possible,” Sibanda said.

He said captain and veteran striker Kundishora Chakanyuka and midfielder Dominic Jaricha, signed from Highlanders, are out injured, but all the other boys are ready for the game.

City coach Beefy says he has much respect for his opponents this afternoon.

“We respect Bulawayo Chiefs. If you saw the way they played against Highlanders, they deserve the respect. They are fighters. They have been there, as for us, we are returnees after playing in Division One, which means we are relatively new. But we are going to push, we are not out yet,” he said.

City have received a big boost ahead of the game as five of their players who had been ruled out of the game against Chicken Inn for improper registration, are available for selection this week.

These include Aaron Ngwenya, Douglas Sibanda, John Chinyerere, Mpumelelo Bhebhe and Dalubuhle Dlodlo.

“I have a full-strength squad, free of injuries. If anyone is to get injured, it will be today (yesterday) at training, Otherwise, as of yesterday, it’s a clean bill of health boosted by those five. I just got their licences this morning (yesterday),” Sibanda said.
