Chitomborwizi Events hosts 100-Metre run to promote community health

In the future Chitomborwizi Events plans to spread the run challenge to other suburbs across Harare.

Music promoter Chitomborwizi Events has organised a 100-metre run challenge, an initiative meant to promote physical fitness and wellness within local communities.

The event sponsored by Spot On, Zodsat and Timely Tool Box is taking place at Rusvingo Primary School in Highfield today and it is open to all age groups and fitness levels.

It is running under the theme “Your Health Is Your Wealth.”

Speaking ahead of the event, one of the organisers, Blessing Chirowodza popularly known as Boss Major said the run is part of their broader campaign to raise awareness on the importance of staying healthy through regular physical activity.

“We realised that many people in our communities are neglecting their physical health because of busy work schedules and the pressures of daily life.

“Through this fun and engaging event, we want to remind people that taking even a few minutes each day to exercise can make a huge difference to their wellbeing.”

Boss Major added that the event is not only about competition but also about bringing people together in a spirit of unity and wellness.
