Fitness trainer making a difference in Masvingo

Headman revealed that God chose the profession for him and discovered his talent when he was still a  regular gym goer at a local gym and a few people asked to join his sessions then later on opted to pay him.

Fitness trainer Howard Headman is determined to make a difference and make sure people reach their health goals.

He operates with the motto; passion, patience and consistency.

Headman revealed that God chose the profession for him and discovered his talent when he was still a  regular gym goer at a local gym and a few people asked to join his sessions then later on opted to pay him.

His main aim is to build a community of healthy citizens.

“With time later on, I understood the assignment which is to help build healthier citizens  mentally, physically and emotionally. We are seeing many diseases that are affecting people these days like high blood pressure, diabetis, depression or anxiety so there is need to help people fight these diseases through working out and making sure their bodies always stay active," Headman said.

"It is not for me to serve myself, but others that surround me. I am trying to serve a larger scale and to grow myself so that l will be able to achieve all of my goals,” he said.

Headman believes he has positively impacted people’s lives through his fitness gift.

“When it comes to the impact l have put in people's lives; l have done a lot. I will put it as giving people the ability to identify themselves. I have met people who had given up on life, marriages, work and they started training and loving themselves again.

"That only boosts the cognitive function rate for someone and ... boom! that person is shining again. So training does change one’s mindset and gives a different perspective,” said Headman.

The 25-year-old fitness addict says he trains all age groups from toddlers to adults.

“I train from toddlers mostly doing brain patterns and developing drills. I have noticed kids changing from being dumb to brilliant through our movements and trainings. From there we treat people with different approaches since they have different body types and genetics,” he declared.

The fitness trainer expressed his gratitude to those who helped him grow.

Although one of the challenges he has  faced is capital, he believes  he is slowly getting there.

By  the end of the year he wants to make sure he broadcasts his knowledge on their  social platforms, educating people around the globe and grow the gym to its best.

The gym is located at Masvingo Sports Club and training is from 7am to 8pm so as to accommodate all clients.
