THE Zimbabwe Footgolf Association (ZFGA) has announced its 25-member squad for the upcoming Africa Footgolf Open Championship, scheduled for November 23 to 25, 2025.
The international tournament will be held at the picturesque Elephant Hills Golf Course in Victoria Falls, Zimbabwe.
In a press statement released on Friday, ZFGA president Daniel Kuwengwa confirmed that six nations, including Germany, will participate in the tourney.
"The tournament will feature the best footgolfers from six countries: Germany, Slovenia, Morocco, South Africa, Zambia and Zimbabwe," Kuwengwa said.
This African championship is a key event, serving as a qualifier for the next year's global competition.
"It is a 500-point event and a qualifier for the prestigious Mexico 2026 World Cup," he added.
The Zimbabwe Footgolf Association is also expecting a high-profile guest of honour.
"The event will be graced by the presence of the Federation for International FootGolf (FIFG) president, Alex Kravanja from Slovenia, and it is expected to be a thrilling competition," he said.
The 25 finalists were selected to represent different categories, with Kuwengwa noting that they will be representing the country in various divisions.
