INGEZI Hurricanes Academy celebrated the end of their season in style, honouring their outstanding players at a colourful ceremony held at Kadoma Sports Club recently.
The club, which finished second behind winners on goal difference in the just ended Mashonaland West Division 2B West league, recognised the dedication and hard work of their talented squad.
The ceremony was a vibrant affair, with players, coaches and officials in attendance to celebrate the achievements of the season.
The club's top players were recognised for their outstanding performances, with awards handed out in various categories, including Most Valuable Player, Top Scorer, and disciplined player.
The event was marked by speeches, presentations and entertainment, making it a memorable night for all involved. Ingezi Hurricanes Academy's commitment to developing young talent was evident, as they showcased the skills and talents of their players.
Speaking at the ceremony, club director Joseph 'Wasu' Nemakanga said, "We are extremely proud of our players and coaches for their hard work and dedication this season.
“Finishing second is a great achievement, and it shows that we are on the right track. We will continue to work hard and make the necessary adjustments to take our team to the next level."
He added, "I want to thank our supporters, and everyone who contributed to the success of the team this season.
“Your support means a lot to us, and we are grateful for your continued backing.”
The club's chairman Faston Maruza also praised the players and coaches for their hard work and dedication during the last season.
"This season may not have ended the way we wanted, but we have shown great promise and potential.
“Let us build on this momentum and aim for greatness next season," he said.

The academy acknowledged Moses Dzingwe, also known as Morocco', as the Player of the Season, whose remarkable performance led the team to success. Macgiven Aliya,' Bere' , was honoured as the Top Goal Scorer, showcasing exceptional scoring ability throughout the season.
Praise Mtetwa received the Most Improved Player award, Dean Mutakwa was recognised as the Most Disciplined Player.
The Young Player of the Season award went to Enock Mtetwa, with Ravaneli Green,' Rava', was awarded for commitment and sportsmanship.
Tamuka Javachava was chosen by his peers as the Players' Player of the Season for outstanding performance and teamwork.
Malvin Nhubu was named Supporters' Player of the Season, favoured by fans for exceptional play.
Abel Chapasuka scored the Goal of the Season, a spectacular goal that thrilled everyone.
Edmore Kasirori earned the Most Assist award, contributing significantly to the team's successes with his assists.
Speaking on the sidelines of the ceremony, Moses Dzingwe said "I am truly humbled and honored to receive the Player of the Season award.
“This recognition is not just for me, but for my team, coaches, and supporters who have been with me every step of the way," he said.
"The journey has been challenging, but with hard work, dedication, and teamwork, we have achieved great things and I want to thank Ingezi Hurricanes Academy for believing in me and pushing me to be the best version of myself.”
The icing on the cake was none other than the charismatic master of seremonies, Sancho Zamorano, who kept the energy high and the crowd entertained throughout the awards ceremony.
With his quick wit and smooth delivery, Sancho ensured the event was a memorable one, making the awards ceremony an unforgettable night for all in attendance.
