Zanu PF Mutasa Central MP Innocent Benza

PREMIERSHIP side Herentials owner and Zanu PF Mutasa Central MP Innocent Benza is continuing with his  efforts to  empower  youths from grassroots through his Benza Tournament Funds aimed at curbing drug abuse.

The unstoppable winds of transformative change continue to sweep across his constituency and last week he was in Ward 19A.

The area received a boost in sports development after  it was handed US$1 500 by Benza.

The money will be channelled to  sports development from the grassroots.

Several people applauded the initiative by Benza, saying this was a great way to develop the constituency.

"The future of Mutasa Central is looking brighter than ever, with foundations being laid that will benefit generations to come," said ward 19 villager Tendai Nyahuma.

"Benza is a good person as he is always in the constituency helping us with developmental projects and God should continue to bless him," said Farai Mwashita.

Benza also generously donated essential equipment, including two tank stands, two tanks , two solar sets, five rolls of 50 mm pipes, bags of cement, beans, fertiliser and regalia.

His hands-on approach has brought hope and confidence to the community.

In an interview with The Sports Hub Benza said he has sport at heart.

"As you are aware l am a sports person as well,” he said. “Sport plays a great way to fight drug abuse and this is the reason l am always on the grassroots educating the youths that drug abuse can ruin lives.

"Furthermore I am looking at infrastructure development which is a key priority that is in line with President Emmerson Mnangagwa 2030 vision.”
