Ray Vines has joined the bandwagon of artists seeking favours from Zanu PF. Prior to the interview the comedian requested for allocation of land and financial assistance from President Emmerson Mnangagwa on X.

Vines intends to establish a BSA creative college, an educational platform, which offers skills development and entrepreneurship.

In that same interview the comedian apologised for his wreckless sentiments on the albino community.

Ray Vines went on a social media rant between him and Solomon Harudzibwi, who lives with albinism.

Solomon had called Ray Vines a spent force and the latter riled the people living with albinism when he posted "ndosaka uchishisha kana ukarohwa ne zuva".

The controversy began when Ray Vines disparaged the highly popular Zimdancehall musician, Winky D, claiming that Winky D hadn’t released any hit songs since 2013.

Ray Vines’s post caught Solomon Harudzibwi’s attention, prompting him to throw shade at Ray Vines and allude that he was seeking favour from the ruling Zanu PF party in his response.

“Zanu PF won’t pick you. Rest, rather concentrate on your dry jokes. Budget ye Zanu yakatopera, try 2028,” Solomon commented.

Ray Vines went on to respond in a derogatory manner.

"I want to apologise to Solomon (Harudzibwi) and the albino community. Find it in your heart to forgive me," he said.
