Stage set for Chibuku Road to Fame finals

The competition, which kicked off on September 28th with provincial finals, has been a thrilling journey for aspiring musicians.

The stage is set for an exciting showdown at the 2024 Chibuku Road to Fame finals. Ten talented musical groups from across Zimbabwe will compete for the coveted title at Glamis Arena on November 9.

The top performers from each province have qualified for the grand finale, where they will showcase their skills and compete for the ultimate prize.

“The property has enabled up-coming artists to participate and showcase their musical talent. The provincial finals have been met with a lot of excitement, delivering bonding moments for our consumers through extended drinking occasions.

Ten provincial final competitions were successfully conducted and the finalists have earned a spot to compete at the National final competitions,” read a statement. 

Some of the groups that have qualified for the grand final include The Outlaws (Harare), The Fugees (Matabeleland South), The Cousins (Midlands), Shanty Town (Mashonaland Central), Music to Music (Bulawayo), Pilgrims of Christ (Mashonaland East), Vibrant Band (Manicaland) and Kweseka (Matabeleland North).

In addition to the thrilling competition, attendees can enjoy performances by renowned artists such as Freeman, Feli Nandi, Chillspot Family, Master H, and the 2023 Chibuku Road to Fame winners, 911 Band.

This year’s Chibuku Road to Fame, organized by Delta Beverages in partnership with the National Arts Council of Zimbabwe (NACZ), aims to empower aspiring musicians and recognise their talent.

The grand prize for the winning group is a substantial cash reward of $15,000 and a recording contract. Second and third place will receive $10,000 and $7,500, respectively.
