Doek & Slay sells out in hours

The response, according to organisers, was overwhelming — with early bird tickets vanishing faster than expected.

Harare’s fashion and lifestyle enthusiasts have once again demonstrated their love for glitz and cultural flair after tickets for the capital city’s Mega Doek & Slay event sold out in less than three hours.

Organised by Event Hulks in partnership with Doek & Slay, the much-anticipated celebration of African elegance and sisterhood was launched under a Black Friday theme on October 24, 2025.

The response, according to organisers, was overwhelming — with early bird tickets vanishing faster than expected.

“We did not anticipate that Doek and Slay would draw stadium-level numbers,” the organisers said in a statement. “The tickets sold out in less than three hours.”

The Doek & Slay movement, known for blending fashion, empowerment, and entertainment, has grown into one of Zimbabwe’s biggest women’s lifestyle events.

It celebrates African beauty and pride through vibrant headwraps (doeks), bold fashion statements, and social networking experiences that empower women from all walks of life.

In response to the unprecedented demand, organisers announced that a Phase 1 ticket sale will open on November 10, 2025, at 8am, across accredited selling points.

They also promised to explore bigger venues and expand early bird capacity to accommodate the growing number of participants.

“We sincerely apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused and encourage all those who missed the sale to look out for the Phase 1 ticket sale,” read the statement.

“A friendly reminder, ‘the early bird catches the fattest worm!’”

The Doek & Slay brand has become more than a fashion statement — it’s a social experience that celebrates womanhood, confidence, and culture through colour, music, and elegance.

With the Harare edition already generating massive buzz, expectations are high for what promises to be one of the most glamorous gatherings on Zimbabwe’s 2025 lifestyle calendar.
