Father Flower Group of Schools has been crowned Outstanding Private School (Primary) at the prestigious Mashonaland West Excellence Awards held in Chinhoyi recently — an honour that cements its reputation as one of the province’s leading centres of academic and holistic excellence.

Under the visionary leadership of director general Jimmy Lemekani-Waya, the school has consistently excelled in national academic, sporting, and arts competitions.

Its philosophy is anchored in holistic development, producing disciplined, creative, and purpose-driven learners.

The award was presented by the Minister of State for Provincial Affairs and Devolution Marian Chombo, who commended the institution for its commitment to quality education, strong community impact, and sustained academic excellence.

Speaking after receiving the award, Lemekani-Waya expressed pride in the recognition and reaffirmed the school’s commitment to educational excellence.

“We are building institutions that produce disciplined, creative, and purpose-driven learners capable of transforming their communities and the nation at large,” he said.

He added: “This award is a testament to the hard work of our students, teachers, and staff. We dedicate it to our parents and the entire school community, whose belief in our mission inspires us to keep striving for excellence.”

The school’s academic achievements continue to speak for themselves.

In the 2025 Zimsec Grade 7 examinations, Father Flower Group of Schools recorded an impressive 97% pass rate, outperforming several public and private institutions, with most learners scoring between six and 15 units.

School secretary Sharon Mazise said the results reflect the school’s unwavering commitment to quality learning.

“We are thrilled by our students’ performance, which surpassed last year’s pass rate. We invite parents seeking a results-driven and supportive learning environment to consider joining our school community,” she said.

Father Flower Group of Schools currently operates four primary schools and three high schools, with two more institutions expected to open next year.

The school’s adoption of a disciplined, military-inspired leadership model — emphasising teamwork, resilience, and respect — continues to define its culture and drive its exceptional performance.
