However, the Bulls could have stretched their lead at the summit had they collected three points against Kiglon in a Castle Lager premiership match at Gwanzura yesterday.
Edmore Chitato who returned from trials in South Africa scored a brace for the Mighty Bulls while Kiglon replied through Last Chibwiro and Tinashe Mukanhairi who converted from a penalty spot.
With the draw yesterday Motor Action took their points tally to 26 from 13 outings. This is Bulls’ second draw in a week after they were held to yet another goalless draw by visiting Hwange in their midweek encounter.
Chitato put the Bulls ahead with a glancing header after he got a cross from Kudakwashe Musharu. Hurt by this goal, Kiglon started committing multiple errors in the defence but they were lucky to have Last Chibwiro, who notched in the equaliser in the 47th minute after connecting a cross from Benard Gumbo. Chibwiro showed composure to rifle home from close range to bring them back to level terms.
In the second period, Kiglon continued from where they left and orchestrated forays in the opposition half. From one of the resultant raid, Kiglon were awarded a penalty after a handball against Themba Ndlovu and Mukanhairi made no mistake sending Marlon Jani the wrong way to thrust Kiglon ahead.Frustration quickly creeped into the champions and it was no surprise they ended up with 10 men after Godfrey Moyo was given his marching orders after a lunge on a goal bound Conrad Whitby.
The champions pressed hard for an equaliser and they duly got it in the 74th minute when Chitato made his aerial strength count after glancing in Milton Ncube’s cross.
CAPS United were held to a goalless draw by Monomotapa at Rufaro yesterday.

United went into the match having thumbed Masvingo United 4-1 in a mid-week match at the National Sports Stadium, and fans were expecting another bumper goal harvest.
However, yesterday was a different day in the office for the Green Machine as their players took turns to miss in front of goal.
With 61 minutes on the clock, CAPS United coach Moses Chunga had to remove his jacket in a rather cold Rufaro afternoon as he failed to come to terms with his strikers’ impotence in front of goal.
The draw however saw CAPS United jumping into third position, but tied on 21 points with Chicken Inn while Monomotapa remained rooted at position 12 in a 16-team log.
Monomotapa also had their chances, but seemed to have been content with defending, especially in the second half after starting the match on a strong footing.
The match was however tainted by what appeared to be questionable refereeing decisions by match referee Sungano Makwangudze.Makwangudze appeared to be lenient with CAPS United players with gritty midfielder Stephen Alimenda getting away with just a yellow card after a crude tackle on Brian Mapfumo.
Arnold Chivheya also escaped the referees punishment when he got away with a crude challenge on Brian Katsaruware who had to be substituted after sustaining an injury in the process.
Instead it was Osborne Mukuradare who was shown a yellow card for complaining to the referee.
