The event, sponsored to the tune of US$70 000, is set to attract over 130 athletes from across Africa and countries like South Africa, Nigeria, Zambia and Botswana have confirmed their participation with more still to come. Shamim Hussein, the National Federation of Zimbabwe Bodybuilding and Fitness (NFZBBF) president is ecstatic about the developments, emphasising that the contest would leave a lasting legacy. The tournament will showcase our athletes, organisational skills and our ability to host any international events. National pride is at stake and this will go a long way in promoting the country.

Some of the local athletes who stand a chance include Vincent Kandiyero, Simba Dube, Victor Hungwe and former Mr Zimbabwe Givemore Marume. With a staggering US$9 000 up for grabs for the winner, fireworks are expected at the event. Zimbabwe got the rights to host the event after successfully hosting the Mr and Ms Profitness contests for the past three years.
