Merciful Ncube capped a memorable hat-trick with Passmore Bernard and Thembani Masuku weighing in with a goal each to give the Mighty Bulls a comfortable win on the road.

Within 10 minutes into play, the Bulls had opened their goal account when Norman Maroto teed up Ncube who slotted home past Moses Nelson for the only goal in the first period.

Rangers tried in vain after the breather to draw level with David Temwanjira and Scholar Hadebe taking turns to test Marlon Jani, but found him unyielding.

In the 60th minute, Bernard made it two with a beautifully executed free-kick from outside the box after Maroto had been hacked down.

Ncube grabbed his second on 71 minutes, beating the offside trap expertly after being set up by Protash Kabwe and beating Nelson hands down.

With a minute to full-time, Ncube completed his hat-trick after converting a penalty, awarded after Innocent Mdluli had pulled down Bernard in the box, sending a hapless Nelson the wrong way.

There was still time for another goal as Masuku benefited from some trickery by substitute Yves Ebabali and rifling home from close range. Bulls remain eighth on 36 points from 26 matches while Rangers lie perilously in 13th place with 25 points from the same number of games.
