FC PLATINUM striker Nelson Mazivisa finally ended his goal drought although his goal did not count much as FC Platinum drew against visiting Harare City in a Castle Lager Premier Soccer League match at Mandava yesterday.

Having last scored in week three, Mazivisa finished off a Daniel Veremu pass 11 minutes into the match before substitute Silas Songani’s 78th minute free kick earned Harare City a point.

The result saw FC Platinum stretching their winless streak to four matches, while Harare City remained rooted on second position behind leaders Highlanders.

But FC Platinum assistant coach Tendai Chikuni appeared unfazed after managing just two points out of a possible 12 in their last four games.

“The players gave their all but we were unfortunate not to win. A draw is better considering that we lost our last two games,” he said.

Harare City coach Bigboy Mawiwi complained about an incident which occurred just before the match when a urine-like substance was poured on him by an FC Platinum official.
