FC Platinum ensured passage into the final of the BancABC Sup8r Cup after upstaging Monomotapa in a semi-final match at Barbourfields yesterday.

Donald Ngoma cooly slotted in Charles Sibanda’s cross five minutes before half-time but Monomotapa equalised through Hilary Mugoniwa’s powerful shot from inside the box on 72 minutes.
A minute later, Sibanda reclaimed the lead for the platinum miners before Monomotapa defender Last Sithole beat his own goalkeeper Tapiwa Zvaita to kill the match as a contest.
For all his industrious efforts laced with an assist and a goal, Sibanda was duly named man-of-the-match.
Lloyd Mutasa’s FC Platinum now await the outcome of this afternoon’s other last four match, between Dynamos and Shabanie Mine at the same venue.
Mutasa has already declared his readiness for any team in the final.
