THE Zimbabwe Netball Association will hold promotional play-offs on January 25.

The play-offs are set for Stoddart Netball complex in Mbare with 40 teams expected to compete for four available slots. Four teams were relegated in the 20-team league last season.
The teams that faced the chop include City of Harare, Chinhoyi University, Harare Central Police, and ZRP Bulawayo.
ZNA president Leticia Chipandu said the 2014 season will begin early March before adding that they will be hosting a number of workshops for all stakeholders.
“We have set January 25 for the play-offs at Stoddart in Harare. We relegated four teams and we are going to retain the same slots this year. Since we have Division One league in each province they are going to send their top four teams to give us 40 teams,” she said.
Chipandu added that there was little activity in the league which accounted for a low number of teams.
“Sometimes we have challenges because netball is not that active in some provinces and you might see that some provinces will not send the expected number of teams,” she said.
The Zimbabwe Defence Forces are the current champions.
