Bantu Rovers were relegated in 2010 following a poor performance in the league while Plumtree Chiefs, who were formerly known as Bulawayo Chiefs, will appear in the PSL for the first time.

Chiefs’ chairman Lovemore Si-banda confirmed the development, saying talks were underway for the merger.

“I am surprised you are calling me about that. There is no franchise that is being sold. But we are in talks for a merger between the two teams. There is a lot that we are still to do and we are still to talk to Zifa about it as well. The franchise is not for sale. We expect to have concluded talks by Monday [tomorrow],” said Sibanda.
