A galaxy of top body builders will be battling to wrestle this year’s Iron Man tag from Gweru-based athlete Isaac “Sugar Sugar” Chimuchenga who won the title at the same venue last year.
This year’s contest will be held under the theme I am Zimstrong.
NFZBBF spokesperson Quiet Shingai confirmed the staging of the event to Standardsport.
“Mr and Ms Ironman is happening on September 5 at the Odyssey in Kadoma,” he said.
“The preparations are underway and 70% of the ground has been covered. The venue has been secured and most requirements purchased. We are looking forward to a better event than last year’s considering that this year we managed to start the event promotion much earlier,” he added.
Shingai revealed that this year’s event will have six divisions, namely senior men bodybuilding, junior men bodybuilding under 21, ladies figure, men fitness physique, disabled men bodybuilding and disabled female bodybuilding.
