Titled Ndisiye Satani, the duo is currently working on the song which they wrote together and is set for release soon.

In a recent interview, Mahachi could not hide his joy after teaming up with the decorated maestro, saying the single would take local gospel music to greater heights.

“I am so excited to be working with my role model and father figure Dr Oliver Mtukudzi. I am so humbled to be doing a song which is set to take gospel music to another level,” said Mahachi.

“It has always been my dream to do a song with the living legend and l am learning a lot as he is imparting a lot of his wisdom.”

Tuku, as Mtukudzi is affectionately known, is famed for uplifting younger artists through collaborations and has in the recent past released a couple of his own gospel songs.

Mahachi said music followers should not expect any less from the Black Spirits frontman on the project.

“Fans should put their fingers across for a massive collaboration and we doing our very best giving it all, praying that the song will touch many people’s souls and minds,” he said.

The song is derived from the Bible when Jesus Christ vehemently resisted temptation by the devil after fasting for 40 days and nights.

The song’s production is also a collaborative effort as it is being recorded at Pakare Paye studios and eternity productions by Macdee while engineering will be done at the Norton based stable.

The song is taken off Tatenda Mahachi’s upcoming album and also marks his first song to be released this year.
