ARMY side Black Rhinos needed an added time Bruce Homora headed goal to snatch a point in a pulsating rescheduled Castle Lager Premier Soccer League match against Harare City played at the National Sports Stadium yesterday.

The draw was the City Fathers’ 15th in 28 league games, the most in the top flight by a country mile so far.

Mark Harrison’s charges have played some of the most attractive football in the league this season, but have failed to wrap up matches they have dominated and yesterday they were seemingly headed for a valuable three points, but Homora had other ideas.

In-form forward William Manondo had given the visitors a second-half lead, heading home a Tatenda Tumba cross in the 67th minute.

Rhinos, who have had a fairly impressive season, pressed for an equaliser, but the Sunshine City boys, buoyed by last week’s Chibuku quarter-final triumph over Highlanders, were resolute in defence.

However, they momentarily went to sleep in added time allowing a heartbreaking Homora diving header to restore parity and ensure a share of the spoils.

The draw meant City missed an opportunity to close in on sixth-placed Highlanders as they moved to 42 points, one behind the Bulawayo giants, and just one above Black Rhinos.
