The single, whose message is meant “to sooth your soul and lift your spirit up again”, was produced by DJ Oskid.

Wekare said she was also working on the video of the song, which she believes would be out by the end of the year.

The gospel diva, who released a DVD album early this year, says the new single would inspire a lot of people as it speaks through the current socio-economic situation in the country.

“Inyasha is a song that tackles personal issues in the times we are in as we are trying to overcome every situation we are coming across,” she told The Standard Style.

“It gives hope to the hopeless. Zimbabwe is facing a lot of challenges, so we need the grace of God to overcome every situation.”

The award-winning musician said she decided to do the song due to the breakthroughs she had experienced in her life.

“I was inspired to write the song because of the breakthroughs in my life, which I believe is because of the hand of the Lord,” she said.

“It is a song with a message that applies to a lot of people in society and it touches all age groups — the young and the adults.

“The song reflects on the better life I have now as a Christian as compared to the previous life I had before I accepted the Lord in my life.”

Having her song being produced by DJ Oskid made her realise that one should be flexible to work with different producers.

“My song is being produced by DJ Oskid because I listen to different producers and evaluate their strengths. As an artiste, one has to be flexible and work with different producers,” she said.

Wekare said looking at her music journey, she could not complain much even though she had not reached the final path yet.

She said she had done well and discovered her strength, which she believes makes her music different and easily makes people differentiate her from the others as a gospel artiste. This made her win the best female artiste gong at the Masvingo Music Awards early this year.

She advised other musicians not to lose hope and faith, but to keep on trusting in the Lord and have the spirit of oneness.
