The new face of Cosmo, 21-year-old model Natasha Carol Gora, is enjoying the lifestyle of mixing and mingling with the glitterati from her new “cosmopolitan” lifestyle.

Gora is the reigning Face of Cosmopolitan Night Club after shrugging off stiff competition from 19 other models at the pageant held at the night spot a month ago. She will serve as the Bulawayo upmarket joint’s brand ambassador for a year.

“I am enjoying every minute of being the Face of Cosmopolitan Night Club,” Gora told Standard Style.

“I have met a number of influential people — celebrities and socialites. Most importantly, it’s another special role I am playing both to the advantage of my career and also Cosmopolitan Night Club.

“I am keen to work with the club’s management and maintain the image of the upmarket night club and at the same time I am looking forward to use the title to grow my brand as a model.

“The crown will definitely open doors for my young and growing career and also the club. Hopefully, by the time I retire the crown I would have amassed more skills and opportunities,” she said.

For winning the crown, the reigning Miss Bulawayo personality walked away with R1 000.

Besides modelling, Gora is studying towards a Diploma in TV and Film Production at the College of Creative Arts in Bulawayo and has ambitions of becoming a full-time actress.

Gora started modelling in 2011 at Mzilikazi High School in Bulawayo where she also took part in arts — acting and writing scripts.

“Growing up, I had a sister who was a model and I looked up to her. She would teach me every move she did on stage, I grew into loving the ramp and decided to explore the world of modelling and eventually loved it. My biggest dream is to walk on the Paris fashion runway and flying my country’s flag with pride,” she said.

“I am an all-rounder — I do pageants, fashion shows and adverts. I have been part of many pageants nationally and provincially, but my biggest highlight was being the Face of Cosmo.”

The tall, slim and light-skinned model was voted Miss Personality at last year’s Miss Tourism Bulawayo pageant, which saw her contesting at the national finals held in the city.

Cosmopolitan Night Club is located at Ascot Race Course and has hosted high-profile musicians such as DJ Zihle, Busiswa, DJ Maporisa, Prince Kaybee and DJ Tira.
