Preparations for Christ Resurrection Ministries (CRM) fifth anniversary celebrations are now at an advanced stage with scores of both local and South Africa-based gospel artistes expected to perform at the three-day event that begins on October 25 at Pieenarspoort, Mamelodi in Pretoria.

The fast-rising church boasts of close to 5 000 members since it was formed in 2014 in South Africa, hence the fifth anniversary fête to celebrate such massive growth.

Some of the musicians to perform at the anniversary celebrations include Takesure Zama, CRM Praise Team, Sharon Manyika, Vhulahani Ndivhuwo, Xolani Mdlalose and Thembinkosi Mbunjwa, among others.

Speaking from his base in South Africa, CRM founder Pastor William Chapanduka (39) said the mega celebrations would be unique in their own way.

“This is a celebration that is marking half a decade of existence of God’s faithfulness to the ministry and what makes it unique is the fact that almost all the members that were there at the first service when the church started will be there to share the experience on the journey we embarked on,” Chapanduka said.

“The vibe and excitement that is surrounding the whole event makes it even more distinct, especially now that a celebratory concert has been organised and that a number of artistes would be celebrating with us.”

The ministry has more than six branches in South Africa while another one is being formed in Masvingo where Chapanduka hails from.

The church praise and worship team CRM Praise is currently doing well on online platforms following the release of their debut video album few months ago.

“CRM is not a quantity-driven church, but a quality-based organisation, hence in the next 10 years it would be one of the most effective ministries in and around South Africa in terms of producing a kingdom empowered breed that impacts the world in all spheres of life,” he said.

“So far the growth is impressive as we are doing much evangelical work, hence attracting more families, societies and nationalities to the Lord.” CRM’s most branches are in Pretoria while others are in Durban and Johannesburg.
