My Dear People
The chaos that has engulfed the ruining party Zanu PF has shown once again how the party has plunged into pandemonium and turmoil ever since it disgracefully dumped Gushungo.
Without the telescopic foresight and wisdom of probably one of the best leaders, the continent has ever had, the Scarfmore led party has stumbled from one disaster to another as they run around like headless chickens.
Just after the bust up between Generari and the Scarfed One over corruption in the country, we now have another fight of the tenderpreneuers and their hangers on.
The garrulous Paurosi has come out guns blazing attacking all and sundry including Kuda and the prophet Eubert who he has all but dismissed as one full of sound and fury signifying nothing and being nowhere close to being an angel.
The latest contretemps by Paurosi, who has been awarded tenders left, right and centre with usually dismal returns, has created a furore within the party.
Even the likes of the so called independent opposition member Temba has come out of the woodwork to attack Paurosi.
Such has been the fallout that even the rudderless party’s secretary for security, Lovemore has come out calling for an end to the fights that have become commonplace in the party ever since the Scarfed One was catapulted into power on the back of guns and tanks.

The pleas by Lovemore will definitely fall on deaf ears. If the ruining party put this much effort in running the country as it does attacking each other to sink their snouts into the feeding trough, then this country’s economy would probably match favourably with the thriving economy of South Africa.
Alas, with this lot, the country will remain firmly entrenched as an economic backwater sinking deeper int the abyss.

In a move that shows just how tone deaf this dispensation of poverty, darkness and confusion is, the Scarfed One has reportedly decided to increase salaries of Zanu PF workers with the lowest earning around US$700 at a time civil servants are getting a United States component of less than half that amount.
That the Scarfed One will be lavishing such amount on party functionaries having ignored genuine pleas of university lecturers whose salaries had been whittled by nearly 90% due to the regime’s inept currency gymnastics, speaks to the warped priorities of this so called second repubric.
Indeed paying out salaries as high as US$3500 to Zanu PF workers, having given a paltry bonus of US$150 to civil servants laughingly called a special presidential bonus, is an insult to the workers whom include teachers and nurses who struggle to make ends meet on the back of such pitiful salaries.
The decision to pay Zanu workers more than double what civil servants earn makes a mockery of Scarfmore’s slogan of leaving no-one behind!

The Harare City Council is surely giving the dispensation of poverty, darkness and confusion a run for its money when it comes to sheer incompetence.
The city’s mayor Jakobo revealed that a double storey building in Vainona will be pulled down to satisfy the demands of residents despite the owner holding council-approved architectural plans.
So because some boneheads at the city council failed in their duties when approving the building of the property, the owner will have to suffer such a costly loss. It seems that the shambles at Muhumutapa Building are cascading to Townhouse quicker than the process of osmosis!
Is this what Jakobo and co learnt when they took lesson at the Zanu PF Chitepo School of Ideology?
Jakobo, who retained his position as mayor through skullduggery amid assistance from the regime, has superintended over the deterioration of the city council who are obsessed in fleecing the city’s residents of their hard earned cash for services which they fail to provide on a regular basis.
Under Jakobo the so called promised Sunshine City has been eclipsed by shoddiness and corruption. Cry the beloved city!

In a desperation to become relevant again on the country’s political landscape, Movement for Democratic Change leader Dougie has made a desperate plea to Nero, Biti and Sikhala, among others, to forgive and forget and forge a strong opposition party ahead of the 2028 elections which hang perilously in the balance in the wake by attempts by Zanu PF to extend the vapid leadership of Ngwena to 2030.
The call by Dougie comes at a time that he has become a spent political force after suffering bruising defeats at the 2022 by elections and the 2023 harmonised elections in which they failed to win a single parliamentary or council seat.
With the stench of failure clinging to the bespectacled Dougie, his calls for a unified front are most likely to get short shrift from Nero and co.
From being so powerful as to decide the fate of an MDC member of parliament or councillor by the stroke of a pen to having no representation in neither parliament nor the city council and having to ward off attempts to remove him as the party’s leader, represents a spectacular fall from grace for Dougie.
In such reduced circumstances, his calls for a forged alliance are most likely to met by rejection accompanied by howls of laughter.
