Zimbabwe’s growing appetite for artificial intelligence and digital innovation will take centre stage on February 28, when technology experts converge in Harare for a Hands-On AI Bootcamp aimed at equipping participants with practical, future-ready skills.
The one-day bootcamp, to be held in Harare, is being organised by Novaris Digital (Private) Limited and will focus on practical, no-code and emerging AI solutions designed for professionals, entrepreneurs and organisations navigating the digital economy.
According to organisers, the bootcamp seeks to demystify artificial intelligence by moving beyond theory and introducing participants to tools and applications that can be deployed immediately in business and professional environments.
Participants will be trained on key AI trends including No-Code AI, Agentic AI, Generative AI, Automation and Robotics, as well as the application of AI in digital marketing.
The bootcamp will be facilitated by a panel of seasoned experts drawn from academia and industry.
Among the facilitators is Reggemore Marongedze, an AI and digital tools specialist affiliated with Nelson Mandela University and Glasgow University, who will guide participants through emerging AI frameworks and practical digital tools shaping the future of work.
Also on the programme is Takemore Mazuruse, a digital marketing expert and chief executive officer of Esteem Communications, who is expected to demonstrate how artificial intelligence is transforming branding, audience engagement and data-driven marketing strategies.
Completing the line-up is Monica Gondo, a software engineer and AI expert from the Harare Institute of Technology, who will focus on technical applications of AI, automation and innovation within the local context.

Organisers say the bootcamp is designed to cater for both technical and non-technical participants, particularly those interested in leveraging AI solutions without extensive coding knowledge.
Registration fees have been set at US$100 for early bird participants who register by February 15, while late registration will cost US$120.
All participants will receive a certificate of participation at the end of the programme.
Speaking ahead of the event, Mazuruse said the bootcamp comes at a time when artificial intelligence is rapidly reshaping industries, creating both opportunities and challenges for developing economies.
“Zimbabwe cannot afford to be left behind in the AI revolution. This bootcamp is about empowerment — giving people the tools to innovate, compete and create value using artificial intelligence,” he said.
