The Harare International Conference Centre (HICC) holds a capacity of 4,500 people.
It is widely used for major music concerts, conferences, and exhibitions in Zimbabwe.
As far as music concerts are concerned, I have been keeping my ears to the ground.
Top artistes such as Jah Prayzah and Winky D have in the past filled the HICC to full capacity before.
Performances at the venue such as Winky D’s New Year’s eve concerts in particular, were marred by politics.
These two artistes have proved that they could fill up the HICC.
This coming weekend 0n the 14th August, Feli Nandi will give a performance at the HICC.
The show is advertised as “FILL UP THE HICC WITH FELI NANDI”

Felistus Chipendo, professionally known as Feli Nandi, was born in June 1992 in Zimbabwe.
She developed a passion for music during her secondary school years, inspired by local music legends such as Oliver Mtukudzi, Thomas Mapfumo, and Chiwoniso Maraire.
Her early exposure to traditional Zimbabwean music influenced her songwriting and musical style, blending soul with Afro-fusion elements .
Feli Nandi began her professional music journey as a backing vocalist for Ashton “Mbeu” Nyahora’s Mhodzi Tribe Band, where she performed for approximately two to two and a half years.
During this period, she recorded several singles, including Ndega Ndada, which had an accompanying music video.
She launched her solo career in 2020, gaining widespread recognition with the single Mufudzi WeMombe, a collaboration with Trevor Dongo.
In 2021, she released her self-titled debut album, Feli Nandi, featuring popular tracks like Munhu Wangu, Unotyei, and Kukurumidza, which received significant airplay on local radio stations .
Her second album, Izwi, released in 2022, further solidified her status as a leading Zimbabwean female artist .
Feli Nandi has performed at major music events in Zimbabwe and toured internationally, in countries such as the UK, South Africa, Tanzania, Namibia, and Togo, collaborating with artists such as Jah Prayzah .
Feli Nandi is married to Lameck Batai and is a mother of two sons.
She initially paused her music career to focus on her family but resumed singing at the age of 25 .
Feli Nandi’s music is characterized by a fusion of Afro-soul and traditional Zimbabwean sounds, often incorporating instruments like the conga drum and mbira.
Her lyrics frequently explore themes of love, daily life struggles, dreams, and self-pride, resonating with audiences both locally and internationally .
Feli Nandi continues to be a prominent figure in Zimbabwean music and fashion, recognised for her powerful vocals, unique sound, and entrepreneurial spirit.
