Kaizer Chiefs completed a domestic double when they defeated SuperSport United 1-0 in the Nedbank Cup final at the Moses Mabhida Stadium in Durban yesterday.

Bernard Parker scored the winner in the fourth minute of extra time after the match had ended goalless in regulation time.
In the 13th minute Chiefs had their first chance of the match when Siphiwe Tshabalala slipped in a defence splitting pass to Lehlohonolo Majoro, but the striker toe poked his effort straight at United keeper Ronwen Williams from close range.
The best opening of the game in the first half fell the way of United midfielder George Maluleka. The former Ajax Cape Town player played a one-two with teammate Kermit Erasmus on the edge of the box, but as Maluleka’s effort was deflected over the bar with Chiefs keeper Itumeleng Khune stranded.
Ten minutes into the second half Tshabalala found space 20-yards out from goal and let rip a powerful shot that just went over the bar. Seconds later at the other end, Erasmus outpaced the Chiefs defence but he ran out of space as he could only toe poke his effort wide of goal.
In the 64th minute Chiefs put pressure on the United defence from a counter attack when George Lebese picked out Parker and the Bafana Bafana striker forced a stupendous flying save from Williams with a curling shot from the edge of the box. In the 90th minute Parker could have scored straight from a corner kick but his in-swinging delivery was cleared off the line by United player Franklyn Cale who got his head in the way.
Chiefs made the breakthrough four minutes into the second half when Parker received the ball just outside the box and unleashed a left footed low shot which beat Williams on his left side of goal.
