Abel Gwatidzo, Leeroy Murape and Tawanda Chokuwamba are likely to spend this season at the Division One side.

Dynamos manager Richard Chihoro said initial plans were to send the trio to Premier Soccer League (PSL) returnees Chapungu but nothing materialised after the clubs failed to agree on terms.

“We are now planning to loan them to DSTV,” said Chihoro.

“Chapungu wanted them to join the Airforce but the players are not interested. Chapungu would have been a better option because the boys would be exposed to premiership football. First division is not however bad because the most important thing here is for them to get more game time.”

The players, who have largely been on the fringes of the DeMbare first team, were last season registered in the mandatory PSL Under-20 slots.

Chapungu coach John Nyikadzino is however still hopeful of bringing the players to Thornhill Airbase.

“We hope to resume talks because the players are good. The good thing is they are at a big club and they have a positive attitude and mentality,” said Nyikadzino.

Meanwhile, Dynamos are looking for an opposition to play a friendly match on Thursday before they begin their CAF Champions League.

Dynamos host Mochudi Center Chiefs of Botswana next Sunday in a Champions League preliminary round first leg.

“We are planning a friendly on Thursday and we are sure by Monday [tomorrow] we will know which team we would play,” said Chihoro.

“It would also be a chance for our eight players with the national team to prepare with the rest of the team. But we now want stronger opposition since it would be our last game before the more challenging Champions League,” said Chihoro.

Thursday’s friendly would see Masimba Mambare and Themba Ndlovu in Dynamos colours for the first time.
